Instructions for Cron Agent
- Read this file in full before generating ideas
- Avoid repeating ideas Jason disliked or rated low
- Build on ideas Jason liked or showed interest in
- Track which idea themes resonate (AI, productized services, retainers, etc.)
- Get more specific and creative over time as feedback accumulates
- Send ideas via Telegram to Jason (chat_id: 6393072308)
- After sending, append today's ideas to the "Idea Archive" section below
- MANDATORY: Every idea MUST include a Competition & Demand section β analyze existing competitors, market size/demand signals, and why Jason's offering would differentiate. If unsure about competition but the idea is strong, say so honestly and still suggest it.
- PRIORITIZE TIER 4 SURVIVABILITY. Before including an idea, mentally run it through the pipeline: Would this survive a devil's advocate attack (Tier 1)? Do the unit economics work (Tier 2)? Could we find real buyers (Tier 3)? If the answer to any is clearly "no," don't waste a slot on it. Prioritize ideas with: genuine competitive gaps, validated pain, defensible moats, and realistic paths to paying customers.
- THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. Do NOT limit ideas to Jason's existing experience or tech stack. He learns anything fast β unfamiliar technology is never a blocker. Explore adjacent markets, unconventional business models, emerging trends, underserved niches. The best ideas from the pipeline so far have been Canadian-specific verticals where US tools haven't expanded. Look for more patterns like that.
- LESSONS FROM THE GRAVEYARD. These patterns kill ideas β avoid them:
- E-commerce/Shopify ecosystem: saturated with free/cheap apps + Klaviyo. Don't bother.
- Generic SaaS competing with well-funded incumbents on features alone. Need a moat.
- Products where the pain exists but existing tools already solve it (TaxGPT, SafeSend, Clio).
- Products priced 10x+ above existing market alternatives. What SURVIVES: Canadian-specific gaps (PIPEDA, CRA, provincial regs), air-gapped/on-premise requirements, white-glove services-led plays for tech-averse buyers, workflow automation in niches where the big players haven't expanded yet.
- PIPELINE INTEGRATION: These daily ideas are Tier 0 of the idea pipeline (see
business-development/idea-pipeline/PIPELINE.md). After Jason scores ideas, Jarvis will route 6+ ideas to Tier 0 inbox and β€5 ideas to the graveyard. The cron agent does NOT need to do this β just generate and send. - KNOWLEDGE BASE: After sending ideas, also ingest each idea into pgvector using:
echo "idea text" | node /home/jarvis/projects/knowledge-base/scripts/kb-ingest-idea.js --title "Idea Name" --score 0 --date YYYY-MM-DD --tags "tag1,tag2". Use score 0 for unscored ideas. Tags should include relevant themes (e.g., healthcare, rag, ecommerce, canadian). This enables semantic search across all historical ideas.
